Age & Weight Suitability

What age are your go-karts suitable for?
Our range covers riders from around 2–3 years old right through to adults. Each product page lists the recommended age and weight limits for that specific model. As a general guide: entry-level karts suit ages 2–5, mid-range models suit ages 5–12, and our larger BERG and Dino Cars models are suitable for teens and adults. Always check the individual product listing for exact specifications.

Is there a maximum weight limit?
Yes — weight limits vary by model. This information is listed on each product page. If you're unsure which model suits your child's age and size, feel free to contact us.

Assembly

Do the go-karts require assembly?
Most karts arrive partially assembled and require some self-assembly. Tools and instructions are included in the box. Assembly is typically straightforward and takes 20–45 minutes depending on the model.

Are assembly instructions included?
Yes, printed instructions are included with every kart. If you need additional help, our support team is available at support@gokartdaddy.co.uk.

Gear Hubs & Compatibility

What do the different hub types mean (F, AF, BFR, BFR-3)?
Hub types determine how the kart drives:

  • F (Freewheel): Forward only — reversing is not possible.
  • AF (Auto Freewheel): Drives forwards and backwards without manual switching.
  • BFR: Forwards, backwards, and braking — all controlled by the pedals alone.
  • BFR-3: Same as BFR but with 3 gears for easier riding and higher top speed.

Are parts compatible between models?
Parts compatibility depends on the specific model and year of manufacture. Most BERG parts can be sourced for models going back 10 years. Your kart has an aluminium sticker on the chassis with an article number and batch number (B/N) — the first digits indicate the year of production.

Spare Parts

Can I order spare parts?
Most parts are available for models up to 10 years old. Visit our BERG Replacement Parts page or contact us with your kart's batch number and photos to identify the correct parts.

Delivery

How long will my order take to arrive?
Delivery times vary by product range and location:

  • BERG karts: approximately 5–7 working days
  • Dino Cars: approximately 1–2+ weeks
  • Wheel & axle sets 2 -3 days
  • Scottish Highlands, Kirkwall & Shetland: allow up to 12 days

What are the delivery charges?

  • UK Mainland: £8.95 (free on orders over £80, subject to weight)
  • Scottish Highlands / Kirkwall / Shetland: £24
  • Northern Ireland: £9.99 up to 5kg; £25 up to 20kg
  • Southern Ireland: £18 up to 5kg; £25 up to 20kg

All deliveries are tracked. Exact shipping costs are shown at checkout before payment.

Do you ship internationally?
Due to increased customs complications, we no longer ship to the USA. For other international enquiries, please contact us before ordering.

Pre-Orders

What is a pre-order?
If an item is temporarily out of stock but due to be restocked, you can pre-order it. Pre-order availability is clearly marked on the product page. You'll pay at checkout as normal, and your order will be dispatched as soon as the new stock arrives. You'll receive an order confirmation immediately and a dispatch notification once it's on its way. See our Pre-order Information page for full details.

Warranty

What warranty do BERG karts come with?
BERG products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Please refer to your product documentation or contact us for specific BERG warranty terms.

What warranty do Dino Cars come with?
Dino Cars offer:

  • Frame: 5-year warranty from date of purchase
  • All other parts (excluding wear parts): 12 months
  • Wear parts (chains, gears, hubs, tyres, brakes): not covered under warranty

Returns & Refunds

What is your returns policy?
We offer a 14-day return window from the date you receive your item. Items must be unused, in original condition, and in original packaging. To start a return, email sales@gokartdaddy.co.uk — do not send items back without contacting us first.

Who pays for return shipping?
Return shipping costs and risk of loss are the responsibility of the customer. We recommend using a tracked, insured service.

When will I receive my refund?
Once we've received and inspected your return, we'll notify you of the outcome. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method. Allow additional time for your bank to process the payment.

Are there any non-returnable items?
Custom or personalised items, sale items, and gift cards cannot be returned. See our full Return & Refund Policy for details.

My item arrived damaged — what do I do?
Please inspect your order on arrival and contact us immediately at support@gokartdaddy.co.uk with photos and details so we can resolve it quickly.
